I have never owned Gucci handbags. For that matter, I’m not sure I’ve owned anything by Gucci. There have been some items I’ve admired in the past… like that darling high gloss crocodile handbag I saw in the New York flagship store back in 2003.

I  have kicked myself for not purchasing it at a reasonable $2,000.  But I am seeing so much more about the line to love. I’ve always admired the horsebit detail and I am loving it on the Gucci Techno Horsebit Cellarius Metallic Medium Hobo Bag!Sophisticated in it’s clean lines and sleek styling, this bag has taken the traditional Techno Hobo to a much higher level.

I would have to classify it as a classic bag as you would be able to carry for year’s to come. There’s just enough detail to keep it from being boring. An interesting leather luggage tag, sumptuous tassle with bamboo detailing and gorgeous knot detail wrapped around the horsebit detail. Softly gleaming silver-tone details finish the look perfectly. There are no rough or unfinished details to this Gucci bags. Each design element flows seamlessly from one to the other.

I think it is the perfect silver color as well. Not too shiny. It’s sublte enough not to overpower your wardrobe and perfect for work, lunches or a day of shopping. A woman carrying this bag will be seen as classic, tasteful and stylish.

Gucci handbags reworks the classic Easy Bag in Patent. While there are already a lot of such style made in various materials, this particular rendition still holds the same sophistication and class, though we could definitely say that this is also one of the most versatile, especially coming in black shade.

I love the use of patent leather because unlike other patent bags, this comes in marbled, textured leather and not really in a smooth patent one. This brings this bag more style and design, thus adding to the letter “GG” stitching, which is a signature for most of gucci bags, particularly on Easy bags. Its glossy effect is indeed very appealing and enough to make this purse elegant.

Guess who is back on my radar majorly? Gucci handbags. It is not that I lost love for Gucci, I just wasn’t as enthralled. I would be happy to find a great bag but was not searching Gucci’s website expecting to find it. Their collection right now for Spring/Summer is eye-catching and has quite a few pieces I am loving.

One of my absolute favorite bags is the Gucci Jungle Shoulder Bag. It is just what I have been looking for: a shoulder bag with a long chain strap.

Tons of designers are releasing these more compact shoulder bags with a long strap, Chanel Flap Bag. This Gucci bags has all of the Gucci accents including bamboo detail and metal beads. I would totally go for the orange version (more of a tan orange than orange orange). I love pairing a tan bag with khaki’s or white jeans and a crisp light summer top.

The single strap has an adjustable knot and a 16″ drop, which is fairly long. Then there is the detachable chain strap, which I adore, because I always love a little chain strap on my bags. The inside is made to be functional with a zip, cell phone, and additional pockets. Overall dimensions are 14 1/5″H x 16 1/10″W x 3 3/10″D.

The Artisan Corner is a new unique event that brings the craftsmanship of Gucci’s Florentine leather goods factory directly to its clientele. And this month the House’s most skilled artisans will travel to a select few Gucci bags stores here within the US, where they will be stationed at custom-built workshops.

The Artisan Corner will include work tables, a sewing machines, a leather stand, and various tools that are used to make some of Gucci handbags  most memorable leather goods. The artisans be working on various classics like the Bamboo, New Jackie, New Pelham, G Wave and as well as small leather goods. Gucci announced, “Customers will be able to see craftsman as they hand-stitch handles, assemble bamboo tassels, prepare leather strips for woven stitching and hand emboss customer’s initials, offering a unique viewing of Gucci’s time honored traditions.”

The Gucci Artisan Corner tour will embark on it’s four city US tour beginning on April 19th at Gucci’s Stockston Street in San Francisco and making a few more stops in Beverly Hills (April 22), Chicago (April 26), and finally finishing up the tour at Gucci’s 5th Avenue flagship in Manhattan on April 29th.
